Press releases are something that most writers think they can write, and few actually can. They take a special skill for getting people interested in a topic without being turned off by too-blatant promotion.

I have a degree in journalism and was once responsible for choosing which releases went into the newspaper. The ones that were nothing but ad copy were thrown out. The ones that actually had something to say, even if there was some promotional material included, were chosen. This is what I keep in mind for each and every press release that I write.

Press releases should have a newsworthy angle that someone, reporter, webmaster or interested citizen, will be interested in. My press releases don't read like ad copy that no one outside the company is interested in. My press releases get noticed.

                                    Press Releases

I can write your press release for a flat fee of $75. This is available through this website, or through Elance and RentACoder. If you prefer to go through a bidding site, it's free to post a project. Just send an invitation to my provider ID, Beakerwriter, and I'll get the information sent to me through my account.

If you prefer to go through my website, the press release can be paid for through PayPal. The resulting release will be delivered within two days, including weekends. When going through a bidding site it may cost more, because of the fees charged to providers, and it may take longer because of the many steps involved in posting and accepting projects. If you want it done fast, you want it done right, and you want the maximum amount of attention for your business or event, you've come to the right place.

The Mr. Dad Seal of Approval Now Accepting New Submissions

Oakland, Calif., Nov. 2007— The Mr. Dad Seal of Approval, given to the highest caliber of products and services for babies and children, is now accepting applications for the Seal. The approval list is known in the toy and children’s product industry for its integrity as well as its positive effect on buyers. Being granted the Mr. Dad Seal of Approval garners publicity and trustworthiness for the products chosen. Buyers understand that the products and services with the Seal are more likely to add to the quality of family life than those without it.

If you would like to be considered for the Seal, the application process is comprised of three simple steps. First, submit the Mr. Dad Seal of Approval application, complete with the names of up to four products, or the names and descriptions of up to four services. The product then must be mailed to Armin Brott for evaluation. Be sure to send two samples of each product. The third step is to pay the application fee to have the product evaluated. The Mr. Dad Seal of Approval is an objective evaluation and acceptance process, and products and services will not be given the seal in exchange for the evaluation fee. The fee simply covers the administrative costs incurred by each evaluation.

When a children’s or father’s item is chosen to display the Mr. Dad Seal of Approval, it signifies to potential buyers that the product is one that encourages learning and can also sharpen the parenting skills of fathers. The products on the Seal of Approval list have each been evaluated for their potential to bring families, specifically fathers and children, together. Products that receive the Seal are being given an endorsement of credibility and quality, but there are other benefits to making the approved list. The products chosen will also have the benefit of additional advertising.  Products granted the Seal will be mentioned in press releases and on the official Mr. Dad website.

The makers of some of the best toys on the market have clamored for the Mr. Dad Seal of Approval, and it’s time now for a new round of Seals to be granted. To find out more about the Seal and the application process, visit http://mrdad.com/seal

Armin Brott is the author of seven books on parenting and the writer of the syndicated column Mr. Dad.

Diamond Fraud Keeps Buyers Away from Diamonds

San Diego, CA, September 2007 — The fraud surrounding diamond purchases has reached epidemic proportions as jewelers have more ways to alter diamonds and charge more for lesser quality diamonds.

As celebrities showcase larger and more prominent diamonds, the public has responded with a growing need for larger stones. This, plus many recent techniques for altering and creating man made diamonds, has lead to a high degree of fraud in the diamond business. Buyers are increasingly turning to diamond substitutes, such as diamond simulants, lab created diamonds and alternative stones such as Moissanite. Simulants, such as the Russian Brilliant, are a lower-cost alternative that have the same level of brilliance as diamonds but are purchased without the fraud rampant in the natural diamond industry.

Natural diamonds are often treated to enhance their color, or laser treated to fix flaws. They may be drilled into to take out carbon inclusions, and the drilled stones sold to uninformed buyers. Fraudulent dealers sell treated diamonds as if they are natural diamonds with no tampering, commanding high prices for lower quality stones. Lab created stones, diamond simulants and other alternatives have the clear coloring sought after in diamonds, and are not misrepresented as being a different or more natural stone. A simulant such as the Russian Brilliant comes with the same color and fire as a natural diamond with no need to misrepresent any aspect of the stone.

The diamond trade has also been supporting some of the worst atrocities in Africa, including slavery, murder and war. The rise of blood diamonds in the past few decades has created a market that uses diamond income to repress some of the world’s poorest people. Diamond simulants are becoming increasingly sought after as the public is realizing the damage that the natural diamond market has caused throughout the world. Lab created diamonds may one day become another viable alternative, though they are currently expensive to make and hard to find.

Purchasing a diamond simulant keeps money in the domestic economy and out of the hands of warlords and fraudulent merchants who pass off treated diamonds as more expensive stones. Buying stones that are better for the environment instead of diamonds also keeps consumers safe from the variety of frauds that are perpetrated on diamond customers today. Markets outside the natural diamond market, such as the market that has sprung up around Russian Brilliants, have proven themselves as more reputable because of the absence of opportunities for fraud.

Hadar, Inc., is an international company that is furthering the style and technology behind the Russian Brilliant. Hadar, Inc. introduced the first hand-cut simulated Princess cut diamond.
